My suggestion is to join a guild with friendly players, otherwise deal with the trash, or don't get killed.

By the way, if the rolls were reversed, would you have rezed him?
In a heartbeat...yes, I would have!

Or, I would have got the item, mapped out with him still in the group (hopefully) and then gave it to him or, if not able to do this, I would have whisped him where to meet and to give it to him.

IMO any decent person would do so as well.

It is a GAME after all, people.

People who dont abide by the rules in games (both legal and moral) are nothing more than CHEATS!

Ok that gives us a clear indication of what you would do!!!

to the OP things like that are the reasons so many people do not PUG anymore. And unfortunately it is very hard to avoid people like this.

But dont let it get you down since there are some really nice people in GW.

I've seen this in the deep a few times, camping over drops etc, which on a long and hard mission which requires team work, causes the mission to end pretty much there and then. On a positive note though, my first succesfull PUG in DoA (don't get many of those!) I got a green drop, during near party wipe, which left me (one of many) dead. Rest of team really worked hard to get me up, so that I could get the item (cant remember what it was), and it took them so long, the item was no-longer flagged for me!

You harassing him isn't going to change anything. I doubt he'll do anything but curse you out then put you on ignore. And if he's really a sad s.o.b. he'll probably get his guildies/friends to start messaging you back.

Just take it as an experience learned and move on. Don't let it control or spoil your outlook on the game.
Anyone every wonder how the thieving, whining, loser W/mos always have tons of friends? They've probably got all the little brats from their school cafeteria playing with them. They get done standing on some 10 year old and stealing his Ipod, they go home and stand on some 10 year old and steal his ecto. XD

If the roles were reversed, yes...I would've rezzed the entire team. I guess I have integrity, which some in the game do not. My character (as lame as this may sound) is a reflection of me...and thus, I play with the same values that I value in my life.

I've moved on...the guy obviously needed the sword more than I did. I've farmed the area twice with just henchies and I'm quite satisfied in doing that going forward. My question was more geared towards reporting such actions and whether this was commonplace in the game. It appears this IS common and it's just like noob-hackers that decided to install aimbots and wallhacks which have ruined most FPS games.

Yup, there's also people like that. No need to get all doomy and gloomy. Of course the guy the OP referred to was an ass, but they're a minority. I encountered many nice people on several occasions:

-Some guy ran people through crystal desert for free, including me
-Some guy gave me a nice green only because I helped him cap a skill
-Getting adopted in HA pug's even though players knew I had 9 fame and I was unexperienced
-Doing a tomb run and getting a green because some guy got two and I got nothing
-PUGing in TA, playing one game, end up chatting with a person about all kinds of stuff for over an hour
-Doing an Urgoz run and actually having 4 hours of fun (but that's kind of a rarity i must admit)

I'm a believer of karma. The jerk who wouldn't rez you will have the same thing happen to him. Except it will probably be...a nice green drop he'll lose to someone who won't rez him. What goes around comes around, IMO.

I don't believe in Karma and call me mad but I do NOT wish that the same thing happens to him. Don't wish for others what you don't want wished for you. But I guess that's just one's point of view.

PS: Just in case I misunderstood, I don't believe that if I do bad to someone it will happen to me (or similar).

I don't wish it would happen to the other person either. I just believe it will, that's all. Kind of like poetic justice.
